The 00s pop band were due to reunite for a new tour.
S Club 7 member Paul Cattermole has died, aged 46.
This comes just weeks away from the band's planned reunion to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
A statement from Paul's family and bandmates said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole.
"Paul was found yesterday, 6th April 2023 at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon.
We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. (1/2) pic.twitter.com/CFpkjU62aD

In a statement issued to Twitter, S Club 7 said: We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.
"He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time."
As a member of S Club 7 - which also includes Rachel Stevens, Jo O'Meara, Tina Barrett, Hannah Spearritt, Jon Lee and Bradley McIntosh - Paul gained four UK Number 1 singles in his lifetime; Bring It All Back, Never Had A Dream Come True, Don't Stop Movin' and Have You Ever.
The band also gained one UK chart-topping album, 2000's 7, which included the classic single Reach.
He became the first member to leave S Club 7 in June 2002, the band itself would not last much longer - breaking up a year later after the release of a film, Seeing Double.
It was announced earlier this year that all of the original members of S Club 7 would be reuniting to celebrate the band's 25th anniversary, with plans including a country-wide live tour, and the possibility of recording some new music too.

While it comes as no real suprise when the likes of Vera Lynn and Jerry Lee Lewis go, it hits home a bit more when your own generation leave us. Along with Sarah Harding and Darius in a similar timeframe, they're the ones I grew up listening to. Stephen Gately too if we go back a few years. The fabric of our musical childhood disinitrating a bit sooner than it should.

Terrible news. So very very sad. I guess his legacy is all the happiness that the music he and the other 6 made has given so many people over the years, and will continue to give for a long time to come.
BTW I fully understand that your article has been written very hastily indeed, due to the extremely unexpected nature of the news, but your list of S Club 7's line-up only mentions five of the other six members, and the only one not named in the article might feel a bit left out if they happen to read it.

Don't wanna sound rude or anything but he did not look as healthy recently. Could that have cause his untimely passing? He was more buff and lean in the past.
