Roisin O earns highest new entry and first Top 5 album in Ireland, Ed Sheeran reclaims Number 1

Róisín O debuts at Number 3 on the Official Irish Albums Chart with her second studio album Courageous.

The Dublin-based singer, songwriter and musician earns her first Top 5 album with the years-in-the-making record, which is the biggest release on physical formats of the week. Róisín’s debut album The Secret Life Of Blue reached Number 21 on its release in 2012.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran reclaims Number 1 with = following tour dates in Dublin, Cork and Limerick. The rest of Ed’s albums also enjoy a place in the chart this week; Divide (2), X (9), + (19) and No. 6 Collaborations Project (28).

Elsewhere in the Top 10, last week’s Number 1 Skinty Fia by Fontaines D.C. lands at Number 5, just ahead of American rapper Future’s latest full-length album I Never Liked You which debuts at Number 6.

Further down, German heavy metal band Rammstein make a Top 20 debut with their eighth album Zeit, at Number 20.

Finally, The Weeknd’s Dawn FM flies 22 places to Number 24 following its release on vinyl.
