Rod Stewart announces Ultimate Hits album ahead of Glastonbury legends set
It's packed with all his classics, from Handbags and Gladrags to Maggie May.

Rod Stewart has announced a new career-spanning compilation album: Ultimate Hits
Available in a variety of formats including 2LP green vinyl, a 1CD and 2CD deluxe edition, limited-edition cassette and digitally, Ultimate Hits will be released on June 27 – two days before Rod takes to the stage for his Glastonbury "legends slot" performance.
Rod, who turned 80 in January, has an incredibly enviable Official Singles Chart record including six Number 1s – enough to place him on the all-time list – and 45 Top 40s.

Each of his UK Number 1s – Maggie May, You Wear It Well, Sailing, I Don't Want to Talk About It / The First Cut Is the Deepest, Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? and Baby Jane – appears on Ultimate Hits.
If anything, Rod's Official Albums Chart record is even more impressive. In March 2024, he scored his 11th Number 1 album as a solo artist with Swing Fever, a collaborative collection with Jools Holland. Two tracks from that album, Ain’t Misbehavin’ and Almost Like Being in Love, appear on the 2CD deluxe edition of Ultimate Hits.
