As news of a date for the potential reopening of UK nightclubs landed this week, infectious party anthem ‘Friday’ by Riton x Nightcrawlers propels forward into the midweek Official Chart Top 5.
British DJ Riton, Nightcrawlers and social media stars Mufasa and Hypeman continue their unbroken ascent on tonight’s Official Chart First Look. The uplifting house production samples Nightcrawlers’ Push The Feeling On, which became a viral dance craze on TikTok during Covid before entering the Official Singles chart Top 100 seven weeks ago. A steady journey northbound saw it break the Top 10 two weeks ago, peaking at Number 7 on Friday.
Up a further four places over the weekend, Friday is now poised to enter the Top 5 for the first time this week, currently riding at Number 3 after 48 hours.
Meanwhile, reigning Number 1 Olivia Rodrigo looks set to hold on to her chart crown for an eighth week straight with Drivers License.
Elsewhere, TikTok star Nathan Evans climbs one place midweek with viral sea shanty Wellerman (2), with 220Kid and Billen Ted on remix duties.
Big climbs for ATB, Topic and A7S’s Your Love (9pm), up four places to Number 11 midweek, and Ava Max’s My Head & My Heart, up eight spots to 17.
The highest new midweek entry comes courtesy of West London rapper Digga D with Bluuwuu (19), closely trailed by Joel Corry’s self-proclaimed “baby-making banger” BED (20).
The final Official Chart Top 40 will be unveiled exclusively on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart with Scott Mills this Friday from 4pm, with the full Official Singles Chart Top 100 published on OfficialCharts.com from 5.45pm.

Don't Worry,. Have you looked at the proper "sales charts" data on here on OCC Site, it so different to radio 1 (as there Include ACR Ratios and Points System) Drivers License has only been top officially for Just One Week, so it been refreshed a while ago.

French (fine), RE (awful), History (good), Maths (awful), Biology (bad), and support classes with the most annoying teacher in the school.
Funnily enough, Monday is actually my best subjects, probably because our options replaced all the subjects I don’t like on that day.
