Rita Ora fires up her bop-making machine once again with brand-new single You Only Love Me: "I'm back!"
It will be Rita's first new material since leaving long-time label Atlantic and signing to BMG, where she owns her own masters.
Reliable bop merchant Rita Ora is back in business, and has announced the release of her brand-new single, You Only Love Me, which is due to be dropped sometime this month.
The single is set to be the lead track from Rita's upcoming third studio album, which fans have christened RO3. It will be her first under new label BMG, throigh which she owns the masters to her own recordings. She was previously signed to Atlantic, with who she released 2018's comeback record Phoenix, and Columbia/Roc Nation which issued her 2012 debut, Ora.
Taking to her socials, Rita uploaded a video of her and partner, director Taika Waititi, watching the New Years fireworks...but with a twist. At the start of the clip, you can hear a little teaser of You Only Love Me.
"You only love, only love," Rita sings, "you only love when I..." before the music (which sounds like it was driven by an acoustic guitar riff) drops out entirely.

She accompanied the clip with the caption "I'M BACK!" before teasing You Only Love Me is due...sometime this month. We love a mogul who keeps us guessing.
We last heard from Rita in 2021, when she released her collaborative lockdown EP BIG, which featured the likes of Imanbek, David Guetta and Gunna (shoutout to Big!) before hitting the Official Singles Chart Top 40 with Sigala single You For Me, originally written by Charli XCX.
Rita's last proper album was 2018's Phoenix, a streaming blockbuster which (although it only peaked at Number 11 in the UK) actually birthed a very impressive five Top 10 singles; Your Song (7), Lonely Together with Avicii (4), Anywhere (2), For You with Liam Payne (8) and Let You Love Me (4).
This was a massive achievement, helping Rita to break a long-held chart record for the most Top 10 singles held by a British female artist. No big deal.
Before then, Rita's 2012 debut album Ora contained a massive three UK Number 1 singles, with DJ Fresh link-up Hot Right Now, debut single RIP with Tinie Tempah and How We Do (Party).
Rita's fourth Number 1, I Will Never Let You Down, was supposed to herald the release of a sophomore record sometime in 2014, but ultimately plans were scrapped. Rumours abounded for a long-time that Rita's then-boyfriend Calvin Harris had helped to executive produce the LP, but Calvin himself but those rumours to rest late last year.
