The full lineup for this year's Radio 1 Big Weekend has been announced.

Folk-rock band Mumford & Sons will headline the main stage on the Saturday (May 28), while recently confirmed act Coldplay top Sunday's bill.

Both band's are joined by host of stars on the main stage, with Jess Glynne, Craig David, Meghan Trainor and Bastille all performing on Saturday, while the likes of Ellie Goulding, Iggy Azalea, The 1975 and The Weeknd will play on Sunday.

Marcus from Mumford and Sons said: “I’ve never been to Radio 1’s Big Weekend so we’ve got a lot of catching up to do…I wanna make up for it with five years worth of riders. We’re really excited, thanks for inviting us, it’s going to be great.”

Iggy Azalea explained that she'd been excited to reveal the news for a while, adding: “I knew that I was coming over for this but I couldn’t tell anyone, and I’m very bad at keeping secrets, so I’m glad this is one less secret to keep. This will be the first time that I’m going to come back for a while. It’s not the first time I’ve ever been to Devon, I actually went around the UK and we stopped at a lot of different little places that most artists don’t go.”

Nick Jonas, who will perform on Saturday, added: “I’m thrilled, over the moon. I’ve always wanted to go, and this is one of the best shows of the year so I’m thrilled to be a part of the line-up. It’s going to be a good time, we’ll bring the party with us. I’m excited to be out there, to be a fan as well as being part of the line-up.”

This year's Big Weekend takes place in Exeter between May 28-29. The annual festival travels around the UK to areas that don't typically hold large-scale music events, with people from the surrounding area being offered the chance to apply for one of 50,000 free tickets available. Recent years have seen the event held in Norwich, Glasgow and Londonderry.
