US rocker Josh Homme’s band riding high after recent Official Albums Chart success.
Fresh from a career-high Number 2 entry on the Official Albums Chart and going straight in at Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart with their latest release …Like Clockwork, Queens Of The Stone Age have announced a new UK tour.
The US rockers, led by charismatic frontman Josh Homme, will take in six of the UK’s major cities in November 2013.
While their album was pipped to the Number 1 spot on the Official Albums Chart by Disclosure’s Settle, QOTSA did manage to dislodge the disco behemoth Random Access Memories by Daft Punk from atop the Official Record Store Chart. The Official Record Store Chart was launched in April of last year by the Official Charts Company and the organisers of Record Store Day UK to reflect sales of the UK’S coolest and most vibrant independent record shops.
Along with as their six-date tour, Queens Of The Stone Age are also headlining the Download Festival this weekend and plan to play at London’s Roundhouse as part of the iTunes Festival in September.
