PWL Hit Factory Live rescheduled!
OfficialCharts.com are thrilled to announce that PWL Hit Factory Live has been rescheduled to London’s O2 Arena in December.
The original event, which was put together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pete Waterman’s legendary record label, PWL, and the songwriting team of Stock Aitken Waterman, was due to take place in July in London’s Hyde Park. However, due to safety concerns following adverse weather conditions, it sadly had to be cancelled.
“We were devastated when Hyde Park's Hit Factory Live had to be cancelled,” Pete told OfficialCharts.com. “The moment had passed, that was it. So I then decided that maybe we could do something indoors. My favourite time of year has always been Christmas, and we found out the O2 was available on December 21!”
The Hit Factory Live Christmas Cracker will feature the sets from Steps, Rick Astley, Bananarama, Jason Donovan, Dead Or Alive, Pepsi & Shirlie, Princess, Sinitta, Hazell Dean, Sonia, 2 Unlimited, Lonnie Gordon and Brother Beyond, with more special guests to be confirmed shortly.
When asked if Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan would be performing their 1988 duet, Especially For You, live at the event, Pete said:
“Everybody’s on the bill that would have been on the bill at Hyde Park. As ever, I can’t give away too many secrets. The thing with all these things is, you have to wait and see!”
