Premiere: James Morrison takes us behind the scenes of Demons video
Demons is the first single from upcoming album Higher Than Here.
James Morrison has premiered a behind-the-scenes look at the video for his new single Demons, exclusively on OfficialCharts.com.
The clip was directed by Greg and Lio – aka Gregory Ohrel and Lionel Hirle – who previously directed Jay Z & Kanye West’s N**gas In Paris video back in 2012. It shows Morrison wandering through the streets, passing people and their ‘demons’ struggling in everyday life, before coming to a dramatic conclusion.
“Demons to me is about that part of myself that tells me I’m not any good or that I can’t do it,” Morrison explains, “It’s the part of myself that’s lived through the bad times that make you who you are.”
Demons - out now - is the first single from the singer-songwriter’s fourth studio album Higher Than Here, set for UK release on October 30 via Island Records.

The dramatic conclusion seems that the demon has won, is this a correct assumption? What's the story behind ending the video this way? By the way, I am a huge fan wishing I was closer to see James on stage! Love this new song Demons! Have had some people ask me about the ending...so wanted to clarify so I share the correct information:) James, hope you play Stateside sometime...because I will be there!
