Pink and The Cranberries face off for this week's Official Irish Albums Chart top spot
Both acts are aiming for their third Number 1 album.
Pink and The Cranberries are head-to-head in the race for this week's Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart.
Both acts are in pursuit of their third Number 1 on Irish soil; Pink's new collection Hurts 2B Human will join 2001's Missundaztood and Beautiful Trauma from 2017 as chart toppers should it make the top spot, while The Cranberries are aiming for their highest chart position in 23 years with In The End, their final album which features posthumous vocals from Dolores O'Riordan.
Pink currently has the lead on today's Official Chart Update by just 267 combined sales (and has the edge on CD sales), while The Cranberries are the highest sellers on vinyl so far this week.
All of Pink's albums with the exception of her debut Can't Take Me Home have reached the Top 10 of the Official Irish Albums Chart, while the last studio album from The Cranberries to reach the top flight was 2001's Wake Up and Smell The Coffee.
Should the Limerick group overturn their fortunes, they will join Picture This and Hozier as homegrown acts to reach Number 1 in 2019.
