Phil Collins has postponed some of his highly anticipated live comeback shows at the Royal Albert Hall after suffering a fall.

In a statement posted to his Facebook page, it has been announced that Phil - who is returning to the stage for the first time in a decade - suffered a fall in his hotel room, causing a cut above his eye that needed stitches. As a result, he is resting and cannot perform. The gigs affected were scheduled for tonight (June 8) and tomorrow (June 9).

Phil has already completed three of the five scheduled dates of his Royal Albert Hall residency, and the new dates on his Not Dead Yet tour are November 26 and November 27. All tickets for tonight's event will be valid for the first November date, while June 9 ticket holders will be able to attend the November 27 show.

Phil will however be back on the road this Sunday for his show in Cologne, Germany and will still perform his headline slot at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park on June 30.
