One To Watch: New girl group unperfect launch with Gots To Give The Girl
The four piece girl group are the creation of Girls Aloud hitmakers Brian Higgins and Xenomania.
Girl group launches are far and few between these days. The last successful British one - Little Mix, obviously - was formed almost eight years ago. It's about time another was thrown into the mix, right?
Enter unperfect, a four piece group comprising of Chloe, Siobhan, Soipan and Tiah. They put themselves together but their music is the creation of Brian Higgins and Xenomania, the production outfit behind all of Girls Aloud's hits, plus singles for Sugababes, Kylie and loads more.
It's clear from the off that - thankfully - unperfect are a very different proposition from Girls Aloud. Their first release Gots To Give The Girl is chilled, moody, R&B-flecked acoustic pop that reminds us a bit of early Sugababes. Watch the video for the song, shot in Los Angeles, below:
Expect new music from them to arrive thick and fast; the group told Fader that they recorded four music videos in four days.
