Dublin band Loraine Club have released their highly anticipated debut EP, titled Desire.

The collection fuses '80s-inspired electronica, disco, soul, and 90s R&B across four tracks, and is designed to serve as an introduction to the band.

Loraine Club is a six-piece band made up of brothers Jordan and Zac Curtis, Jonny Halpin, Brian Smith, James Connolly and Mick Keeley. The group started after Jordan and Zac began writing together in 2015 for a collaboration between their two previous bands.

Zac - also known under the alias Prozak - produced the debut collection, which was mostly recorded during lockdown in a printing factory.

Jordan told The Irish Sun the EP is "kind of like an introduction to Loraine Club," adding: "Like most artists these days we never wanted to confine ourselves to one style or sound so I feel like this EP shows four different sides to us, from electronic disco in Starting Now to psychedelic dream pop in Desire.

"It's a pretty random collection of songs but it works well for some reason which kind of sums up Loraine Club; a collection of different influences mashed together to make something we think sounds pretty original and that you can groove to."

Following the EP's release, Loraine Club have announced a live show at The Workman's Club on November 19.
