All five of One Direction’s studio albums return to the UK Top 40 as fans mourn the loss of member Liam Payne, who tragically died last week aged 31.

Chart-topping 2013 record Midnight Memories leads the group’s uplift. With combined UK sales and streams increasing 517% week-on-week according to Official Charts Company data, the album returns to the Top 40 for the first time in 10 years (13).

Midnight Memories is followed by 2015’s Made In The A.M. (21), 2014 release FOUR (22), 2012’s Take Me Home (25) and 2011 debut Up All Night (38).

Elsewhere, Liam's 2019 solo record LP1 returns to the Top 100 (62).

One Direction's Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson paid a heartfelt tribute to their late bandmate last week, saying:

"We're completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing.

"In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.

"The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever.

"For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us.

"We will miss him terribly.

"We love you Liam."
