One Direction set for third week on top with Midnight Memories
Harry, Louis, Niall, Zayn and Liam set for a third week at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart with Midnight Memories.
One Direction look set to spend a third week at the top of the Official Albums Chart this weekend with Midnight Memories.
Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne’s third full-length became not just the fastest selling album of 2013 so far, but also the fastest selling album of their career, when it debuted at Number 1 two weeks ago.
Robbie Williams’ Swings Both Ways, Gary Barlow’s Since I Saw You Last and Olly Murs’ Right Place, Right Time are looking popular with UK Christmas shoppers as all three remain static at Numbers 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
Following his performance on last weekend’s X Factor results show, Michael Buble is enjoying two placings in the Top 10 midweek. Buble’s latest album, To Be Loved, climbs 14 places to Number 5, while his Christmas collection is up 4 to 6.
Celine Dion’s Loved Me Back To Life is at Number 7, while Leona Lewis’ Christmas album, Christmas With Love, surges 17 places to Number 8. This week’s Top 10 is completed by Eminem’s former chart topper, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (9), and The Nation’s Favourite Elvis Songs (10).
This week’s sole new entry in the Top 40 belongs to Neil Young. The US singer/songwriter’s new live album, Live At The Cellar Door, is new in at Number 40 today.
