Olympics album climbs to Number 2 in Official Compilation Albums Chart
Isles Of Wonder, which features music selected by Olympic Games opening ceremony creative director Danny Boyle and musical directors Underworld, has climbed to Number 2 in the Official Compilations Chart, according to today's Official Chart Update.
The album, which was made available for download during the ceremony itself on Friday evening, debuted at Number 5 in the Official Compilations Chart after one day on sale. However, there seems to be no stopping the UK’s current bestselling compilation, Now That’s What I Call Music 82, which looks set to retain its Number 1 position after setting a new Official Chart record last week for becoming the fastest selling album of 2012 so far.
Now… spin-offs, Now That’s What I Call A Number 1!, which was released to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Official Singles Chart, and Now That’s What I Call Reggae!, are Number 3 and 4 in the chart, respectively, while Ministry Of Sound’s The Chillout Session, completes this week’s Official Compilation Albums Chart Update Top 5.
