Olivia Rodrigo's SOUR extends reign at Irish albums Number 1, Villagers and Orla Gartland make Top 3 debuts
Olivia Rodrigo reigns supreme on the Official Irish Albums Chart for an 11th week, while homegrown acts Villagers and Orla Gartland take out spots in the Top 3.
Following the release of her debut album on vinyl, SOUR racks up another week as Ireland’s biggest album, claiming the most vinyl sales and album streams of the last seven days. In the process, Olivia Rodrigo scores the biggest week of vinyl sales so far in 2021 for a solo artist.

The biggest CD album of the week is Fever Dreams, the sixth studio album from Dublin folk band Villagers, new at Number 2. Fever Dreams marks the Conor Byrne-fronted collective’s fifth Top 2 album, matching the peak of its predecessor, 2018’s The Art of Pretending To Swim.
Meanwhile, Dublin indie pop singer-songwriter Orla Gartland enters at Number 3 with her debut album Woman On The Internet, Ireland’s most downloaded album of the week. Close behind at Number 4 is New Zealand artist Lorde with Solar Power, her third consecutive Top 5 album in Ireland.

Further down, Ohio rapper Trippie Redd takes out a new entry at 13 with Trip At Knight, his sixth Top 50 entry and highest-charting effort to date. Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 2002 album By The Way returns to the chart at 23 following a vinyl re-release.
Vinyl reissues of four Led Zeppelin albums send them into the Top 50: Led Zeppelin IV (36); Led Zeppelin 3 (39), Led Zeppelin 2 (40) and Led Zeppelin (43). Finally, U2’s 2000 album All That You Can’t Leave Behind re-enters at Number 45.
