Olivia Rodrigo announces GUTS World Tour concert special

Don't worry if you missed Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS World Tour when it criss-crossed the UK this May, because O-Rod has announced a concert special coming to Netflix.  

It was filmed at Olivia's gigs at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles in August and will debut on Netflix on 29 October. In a press release, the streamer promises "an exhilarating look inside Rodrigo’s massive, sold-out arena tour".

Massive is no overstatement. Olivia's GUTS World Tour began in February and isn't over yet: she's playing this month in Singapore, the Philippines and Australia and will embark on a South American leg in March 2025. Her UK and Ireland leg comprised 10 gigs including four at The O2 in London. Pretty epic, right?

It's a tour befitting Olivia's stellar second album, GUTS, which matched the success of its predecessor, SOUR, by debuting at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.

In its week of release, GUTS racked up 60,300 chart units to outsell the rest of the Official Albums Chart Top 10 combined. And though GUTS was released in September 2023, it's remained so popular that it's one of the UK's bestselling albums of 2024 so far. 

It's also home to the brilliantly melodramatic Number 1 single Vampire, which racked up 25 weeks on the Official Singles Chart. 

Actually, the more we think about it, that concert special can't come soon enough. Roll on 29 October!
