Official Trending Chart: Taylor Swift debuts, Mark Ambor, Shaboozey & Chappell Roan rise
Plus, further new entries from Drake, Headie One & Olivia Rodrigo.
Surprise! (Well, not really...) Taylor Swift tops this week's Official Trending Chart with Fortnight, her brand new collaboration with Post Malone.
The lead single from Taylor's 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department, the low-slung synth-pop track details the breakdown of an intense relationship that spans the length of just two weeks, but leaves marks that linger long after the fact.
Currently, Fortnight is expected to debut at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart this Friday. It would be Taylor's fourth UK Number 1 single, following Look What You Made Me Do (2017), Anti-Hero (2022) and Is It Over Now? (Taylor's Version) (2023).
Also coming in at Number 2 this week, we have The Tortured Poets Department's self-effacing title track, which should see a Top 3 debut on Friday.
Elsewhere, Mark Ambor continues to rise with Belong Together, inching closer and closer to the Top 10 each week.
Other rising hits continue to gain heat, including Shaboozey's A Bar Song (Tipsy), which could become the US artist's first UK Top 40 single, following increased eyes on him following his inclusion on Beyoncé's chart-topping COWBOY CARTER.
Chappell Roan's Good Luck, Babe! is now officially the alt-pop superstar's first-ever UK Top 40 single and it's looking to rise even further this week, marking Chappell as one of the most exciting artists to keep an eye on right now.
Further new releases this week also include; Drake's Push Ups, Headie One teaming up with Stormzy and Tay Keith on Cry No More and Olivia Rodrigo's cover of Noah Kahan's Stick Season, released as part of Record Store Day 2024.
