Now That’s What I Call Music! 86 debuts at Number 1 on the Official Compilation Albums Chart
Now That’s What I Call Music! 86 has debuted at Number 1 on the Official Compilations Chart, making it the second fastest selling album of 2013 so far.
Now That’s What I Call Music! 86 has become the second fastest selling album of 2013 so far, behind its predecessor Now! 85, the Official Charts Company can reveal.
The latest instalment of the massively successful series of compilations went straight in at Number 1 on the Official Compilation Albums Chart, selling 270,000 copies during its first week on sale. This puts it behind June’s Now! 85, which sold 317,000 in week one, but ahead of March’s Now! 84, which sold 262,000 in its first week.
The fastest selling artist album of 2013 is Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories, with 165,000 in week one.
Now! 86 features ten songs which topped the Official Singles Chart, including hits from Katy Perry, One Republic, Miley Cyrus, Lorde and Avicii, whose single Wake Me Up is one of the fastest selling singles of the year.
