Now! have teamed up with the Official Charts Company to launch the new album as part of Decade of Digital – a celebration marking 10 years since the first legitimate digital music services and the UK’s Official Download Chart launched in 2004.

Yes, it really is 10 years since the CD started getting a little nervous thanks to the introduction of an alternative format, waiting in the wings to change the way we buy music for ever.

In 2004, legal digital downloads arrived in the UK with services including iTunes Europe, 7 Digital Music and MyCokeMusic kicking off for the very first time.

The Official Download Chart would make its debut later that year – with Westlife’s Flying Without Wings claiming the top spot. Over a billion digital singles have been sold in the UK since, so the CD was right to be worried!

To celebrate 10 years of being able to download music at the click of a button – or the tap of a screen – Now That’s What I Call Music! have unveiled a new bumper collection of hits from the last decade, Now That's What I Call 21st Century is out Easter Monday 21 April.

The 62-track extravaganza includes 43 Official Singles Chart Number 1 hits, including 2013’s top seller Blurred Lines, from Robin Thicke FT T.I. and Pharrell.

Other huge hits from the last ten years who make a showing include Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe, Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are (Amazing), Pharrell’s Happy and Take That’s Rule The World.

Lady Gaga manages to get two of her monster Number 1s on this very special Now! Million sellers Poker Face and Bad Romance have made the final cut.

More activity around the Decade Of Digital celebration (which is being co-ordinated by the Official Charts Company, on behalf of record labels' association the BPI and the Entertainment Retailers Association) will be unveiled next week.
