Nico And Vinz' Am I Wrong tops UK chart for second week

Nico Sereba and Vincent Dery, AKA Nico And Vinz, will no doubt be celebrating this evening after holding onto Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart for a second week with Am I Wrong.

The Norwegian duo, who are both former substitute teachers, made their UK chart debut six weeks ago on audio streams alone. However, once Am I Wrong went on general sale, the track was catapulted 51 places to the chart summit last Sunday. In doing so, Nico And Vinz became the first Norwegian act to have a Number 1 in the UK since Ah-ha’s The Sun Always Shines On TV nearly 29 years ago.

Rude by Canadian band Magic! holds firm at Number 2 this week, while Love Runs Out by OneRepublic is also static at 3.

Meanwhile, Canadian singer/songwriter Kiesza follows up her Number 1 smash Hideaway with another Top 5 hit today; Giant In My Heart is this week’s highest new entry, debuting at Number 4. This week’s Top 5 is completed by Ghost by Ella Henderson, climbing one place back up to Number 5.

New Entries And High Climbers

Don’t by Ed Sheeran climbs 12 places to Number 11 today, while Rizzle Kicks are new in at 14 with Tell Her. Black Widow by Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora surges 151 places to make its Top 40 debut at 32 today, while The Saturdays are new in at 38 with What Are You Waiting For.

And finally, Sam Smith’s I’m Not The Only One climbs 29 places to Number 40.
