Welcome to your round-up of this week’s biggest new song, album and home entertainment releases.

Let’s jump straight in with a selection of the week’s album releases. Ed Sheeran unleashes his second LP of the year, Autumn Variations. Following the chart-topping success of his last studio collection – (Minus), Ed teams up with multi-hyphenate Aaron Dessner (known as a founding member of The National and for his work with the likes of Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams) on his seventh studio LP.

To date, Ed has secured six consecutive Number 1 albums: 2011’s +, 2014’s X, 2017 album ÷, 2019’s No.6 Collaborations Project, 2021 release = and the aforementioned -. Could Autumn Variations earn him a seventh?

Elsewhere, Mae Muller drops her much-anticipated debut album Sorry I’m Late this week. Preceded by tracks including the UK’s 2023 Eurovision Song Contest entry I Wrote a Song, which earned Mae her first-ever Official Singles Chart Top 10, and self-love anthem Me, Myself & I, the record sees the London-born singer-songwriter collaborate with Swedish collective NEIKED and acclaimed songwriter Karen Poole, formerly of Alisha’s Attic.

Following the success of recent Top 20 single Little Things, Jorja Smith returns with her second full-length collection Falling or Flying. The West Midlands-born singer-songwriter peaked at Number 3 with her debut LP Lost & Found in 2018.

It’s a big week for reissues, too. Celebrating a decade of their debut, HAIM release a 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of 2013's chart-topping Days Are Gone. Housed in new packaging, the re-release includes demos and remixes selected by members Este, Danielle and Alana Haim.

Green Day also reissue their 1994 record Dookie this week, including rare and previously-unreleased material across various 30th Anniversary Edition formats. The California-formed rock trio – comprising Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool, charted at Number 13 with the LP upon back in ’94 – could the re-release see it reach a new peak?

A decade after its original release, Miley Cyrus’s chart-topping 2013 album Bangerz receives a vinyl reissue, while the late Sinead O’Connor’s debut record The Lion and the Cobra is re-released this week. The album peaked at Number 27 in 1988, the year after its original release.

Hawkwind fans can enjoy a 50th anniversary reissue of Space Ritual, while Grateful Dead also celebrate five decades of Wake of the Flood.

Other releases this week come from the likes of LP with their latest body of work Love Lines, Black Stone Cherry’s Screamin’ at the Sky and Holly Johnson’s Blast.

On the singles front, *NSYNC return with their first new material as a group in 21 years. Better Place - taken from the TROLLS Band Together film - sees Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick reunite following their surprise five-piece appearance at the MTV VMAs earlier this month.

BTS star Jung Kook follows up his record-breaking Top 5 single Seven feat. Latto with BloodPop-produced Jack Harlow collaboration 3D. Girl group aespa unleash another big new K-pop release, teaming up with RAYE on a brand-new version of their latest track Better Things.

The second track lifted from their upcoming Hackney Diamonds album, The Rolling Stones join forces with Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder on Sweet Sounds of Heaven. The track follows recent release Angry; the Stones' first Top 40 single in 18 years.

Elsewhere, Kamille and Kojey Radical create some magic with Manifesting - Pt 2, PinkPantheress is back with Mosquito, London-born singer-songwriter Lola Young returns with Conceited and JVKE hopes to replicate the success of 2022 Top 20 single golden hour with this is what space feels like.
