New Releases: Kylie Minogue, Doja Cat, Take That and more
Welcome to your round-up of this week’s biggest new songs, albums and home entertainment releases.
On the albums front, Kylie Minogue returns with her much-anticipated 16th studio album Tension. Preceded by Padam Padam – Kylie’s first UK Top 10 single in 12 years – and its title track Tension, could the record earn her a ninth UK Number 1 LP? Kylie’s last studio album, 2020’s Disco, topped the Official Albums Chart upon its release following a closely-fought battle against Little Mix’s hits compilation Between Us.

Elsewhere, off the back of her recent Number 1 single Paint the Town Red, Doja Cat unleashes her fourth full-length record Scarlet. Doja will be hoping the album matches the success of 2021 LP Planet Her, which peaked at Number 3.
As they’re announced of one of Olivia Rodrigo’s 2024 GUTS world tour support acts, The Breeders reissue their 1993 breakout record Last Splash. Celebrating its 30th anniversary and remastered from its original analog tapes, the album will be re-released across various formats including digital, 2LP and CD editions.
Kelly Clarkson updates her latest Top 40 LP chemistry with a deluxe edition, featuring new tracks including roses and did you know, as Stephen Sanchez releases his debut album Angel Face. The record includes Top 20 hit Until I Found You, which Stephen famously performed alongside Elton John during his Glastonbury Pyramid Stage performance back in June.
Onto singles, and Take That return with Windows; the first track lifted from their ninth studio album This Life. The band, comprising Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, reached Number 2 with their last LP Wonderland in 2017.
blink-182’s original line-up of Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker are also back with the title track of their upcoming ninth studio album One More Time…, which will also feature Top 40 hit Edging. Double release ONE MORE TIME and MORE THAN YOU KNOW lands on streaming this week. The rock outfit’s last record Nine, released with former member Matt Skiba, peaked at Number 6 in 2019. See where every blink-182 song and album has charted in the UK here.
It’s a big week for new dance drops, too. Alok teams up with The Chainsmokers and Kettering-born breakout star Mae Stephens on Jungle, while Jonas Blue and German DJ Felix Jaehn’s link-up Past Life gets its release. Taken from the fourth and final series of Netflix's Sex Education, Jodie Harsh also unleashes new cut Celebrate this week.
Elsewhere, Troye Sivan releases Got Me Started, the follow-up to Top 40 single Rush lifted from upcoming album Something to Give Each Other, while Bleachers return with Modern Girl. Could the latest track from Jack Antonoff and co. provide the New Jersey-formed rock group their first-ever UK Top 40 entry?
