New Releases: Beyoncé, Camila Cabello ft. Playboi Carti, Leigh-Anne, Sum 41 and more
Welcome to your New Music Friday round-up, here to serve you the biggest music and home entertainment releases of the week.
Saddle up! Beyoncé unleashes the second ‘act’ of her LP trilogy this week. Following the chart-topping success of 2022’s RENAISSANCE, and already boasting month-long Number 1 single TEXAS HOLD ‘EM, COWBOY CARTER includes a cover of Dolly Parton's Jolene and Willie Nelson collaboration, Smoke Hour.
But remember, this ain’t a country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album.
mgk (Machine Gun Kelly) and Trippie Redd drop their first full-length collaborative record genre:sadboy. Including the single lost boy, mgk will be hoping the LP sees similar success to his 2022 release Mainstream Sellout (2).
Elsewhere, Sum 41 release Heaven :x: Hell. The Canadian rockers' eighth studio LP will serve as their last as a group. This double album is divided into two works; it's 'Heaven' side representing the band's earlier pop-punk sound, with 'Hell' exploring their heavier rock style of more recent years.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. The World finalist Tia Kofi releases their debut studio LP Read My Lips this week. Alongside focus track Movie, the record also features singles including Satellite and Loving Me Like That. Could Tia be celebrating a series 2 win on their big release day?
Now, let’s talk singles.
Camila Cabello makes a sharp pivot into hyperpop with her much-anticipated comeback track I LUV IT. Featuring Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti, this glitchy el Guincho (Rosalía, FKA Twigs, Björk) production serves as the first single from Camila’s upcoming fourth solo studio album C, XOXO.

Following the Top 40 success of J. Cole collab on the street last year, BTS star j-hope releases his solo EP HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1 this week. As well as featuring focus track NEURON and a team-up with BTS bandmate Jung Kook (i wonder...), the EP is accompanied by six-part docuseries HOPE ON THE STREET, available to stream now on Amazon Prime Video.
Becky Hill is back with the latest taste of her forthcoming LP Believe Me Now?. Could brand-new tune Outside Of Love earn the UK dance queen a landmark 20th Top 40 single?
Following her success with Don’t Say Love and Ayra Starr collaboration My Love, Leigh-Anne returns with her third solo track, Stealin’ Love. The first song lifted from her recently-announced debut EP, Stealin’ Love sees the Little Mix star lean into smooth, nostalgic R&B.
Speaking of Little Mix, former Little Mix: The Search contestant TYLER LEWIS releases her second single fly on the wall this week. Following her appearance on the group’s BBC talent show in 2020, Tyler was swiftly snapped up by musical multihyphenate MNEK; signing to his MUZO BY UZO label. You’ll want to keep a close eye on this promising West Londoner in 2024.
Ahead of this weekend’s shift to British Summer Time (finally, eh?), it’s a big week for new dance drops. David Guetta teams up with OneRepublic on I Don’t Wanna Wait, as Cheat Codes and Regard as you to Stay Another Night.
Elsewhere, Take That return with brand-new track You And Me, Twenty One Pilots release Next Semester and rising talent LAUREL unveils her latest single Burning Up.
Sydney-born singer-songwriter Dean Lewis drops the heart wrenching The Last Bit of Us, Liam Payne delivers an acoustic version of latest track Teardrops and d4vd serves up Feel It.
