New Music Friday Releases: Oasis, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Rizzle Kicks and more
Welcome to New Music Friday, your one place to discover the biggest new song, album and DVD releases.
Let's start with this week's singles, shall we?
Rizzle Kicks return with Javelin, their first new material inn eight years. The Brighton-born hip-hop duo - Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule - recently announced their reunion, telling fans: "We couldn’t be more excited to show you what we’ve been working on together. It’s been so incredible seeing how many of you have stuck around and we’re so grateful for all the support already."
Can the track secure the lads an eighth Top 40 single?
James Bay is back with Easy Distraction. Co-written with The Killers' Brandon Flowers, it's the latest track lifted from James's newly announced fourth studio album Changes All The Time, coming October 4.
RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World winner Tia Kofi unleashes The First Time (Heartstopper Mix). The official theme song for Netflix's Heartstopper podcast, accompanying the third series of the hit LGBTQIA+ teen drama, chronicles 'falling in love as a queer person for the first time.'
Elsewhere, FLO offer up Bending My Rules, the latest taste of upcoming debut album Access All Areas, as Mabel delivers brand-new cut Chat.
Oh, and A$AP Rocky drops a new track titled Tailor Swif, presumably hoping to capitalise on any incorrectly-spelt Google searches.
Now, let's talk albums.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this week, a newly reformed Oasis reissue their iconic 1994 debut Definitely Maybe.
Alongside the original album, which spawned the Manchester Britpop icons' early singles Supersonic, Shakermaker, Live Forever and Cigarettes & Alcohol, the 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition includes Oasis's originally discarded Monnow Valley sessions, plus outtakes from their Sawmills recordings and an alternative version of Sad Song with Liam's vocal.
The album also includes brand-new artwork by original art designer Brian Cannon for Microdot and original sleeve photographer Michael Spencer Jones, plus new sleeve notes from Creation Records boss Alan McGee and journalist Hamish MacBain.

Also celebrating a milestone is Sam Smith's 2014 debut In The Lonely Hour. A new deluxe release of the record's 10th Anniversary Edition includes collaborations with the likes of Mary J. Blige, Hikaru Utada and Girls' Generation's Taeyeon.
Derbyshire-born indie-folk singer-songwriter Paris Paloma delivers her debut LP Cacophony, featuring breakthrough 2023 Top 40 single labour.
And finally, Australian rockers Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds return with Wild God. Their 18th studio album, it includes pre-release singles Wild God, Frogs and Long Dark Night. Could it earn the group a 17th Top 40 LP next week?
