New Releases: JADE, Chappell Roan, HAIM, Calvin Harris, Playboi Carti & Sugababes
New Music Friday - this week's biggest new song, album and DVD releases, all in one place.

Welcome to New Music Friday, your one place to discover the biggest new song, album and home entertainment releases.
Let's get started with some HUGE singles coming your way.
First up, it's JADE who is (finally) releasing her big, big banger into the world. Fresh off her historic win at the 2025 BRIT Awards, so much of JADE's solo material thus far has been hinged on its experimentation and genre-fluid nature. On the stylish FUFN (F**k You For Now), she leans into a more commercial aspect of maximalist pop and proves she can deliver a hit.
Co-written by fellow pop savant RAYE, FUFN blasts into the world like a model down a haute couture runway. 'I'm getting out the car,' JADE calls on the track's chorus, the most interesting and ear-worm worthy melody of her career to this point. 'I slam, the door.'
The track (produced by LOSTBOY and David Hamelin) chugs along with a barely-contained rage, that truly catches fire. 'Baby, back out of my face right now. Don't you tell me to calm down. No more words, just f**k you for now.' If you ever thought to yourself 'I like JADE, but you know what her next single needs to sound like? Into You by Ariana Grande.' Then do we have news for you!
Meanwhile...anyone up for a sapphic country song? Chappell Roan may have just secured her first UK Number 1 single, but brand new track The Giver is actually her first new release in nearly a year, following the unexpected (and career-changing) success of Good Luck, Babe!
This time jumping from a synth-pop lament reminiscent of Cyndi Lauper, to a raucous country-banger that's a bit of Grand Ole Opry and a bit of Shania Twain. The Giver, however, is not your mother's traditional country fare. It's a spiky, campy and very intelligently hilarious inversion of a love song.
'You ain't gotta tell me, it's just in my nature,' Chappell says. 'Take it like a taker, because baby, I'm the giver.' If you want a more in-depth explanation...well...you can google it!
Calvin Harris is another artist making a return today. One of the most successful British artists of the last 20 years, Calvin's latest release, Smoke The Pain Away, sees him return not just as a producer, but as a vocalist for the first time in several years.
An early release this week comes from power-rock trio HAIM (aka sisters Danielle, Este and Alana Haim) who are ready to start teasing their fourth album (H4IM, anyone? Just us?) with lead single Relationships. Apparently, it's a song that's been no less than seven (!) years in the making, and marks the start of a fruitful new collaboration with producer Rostam (formerly of Vampire Weekend).
Other new tracks launching at midnight include the latest cut from Tom Grennan's forthcoming third album (Boys Don't Cry), another new collaboration from Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco (Sunset Blvd.) and the return of the Sugababes, who are set to release a brand new album together this year (Jungle).
Also keep an eye on new drops from Lizzo (Still Bad) and Lil Nas X (HOTBOX), both of whom are gearing up for new album launches later in 2025.
As for albums this week, we have the upcoming third studio album from US rapper Playboi Carti, I AM MUSIC. It's his first solo studio album in half a decade, since 2020's acclaimed Whole Lotta Red, which is regarded by critics as one of the best rap albums of the decade so far. Whole Lotta Red peaked at Number 17 on the Official Albums Chart in the UK, but was a chart-topping record in Carti's native US.
Other LPs dropping this week include Jordana Bryant's Right Key, Wrong Porch, cleopatrick's FAKE MOON and ZZ Ward's Liberation.
