New Music Friday - this week's biggest new song, album and DVD releases, all in one place
Welcome to New Music Friday, your one place to discover the biggest new song, album and DVD releases.
Let's start with albums, because there are big LPs aplenty arriving this week.
Rock showman Benson Boone is back with his second studio set, American Heart. He'll be hoping to beat the Number 16 peak of his 2024 debut disc, Fireworks & Rollerblades.
Meanwhile, Doncaster's pop-punk king YUNGBLUD is aiming for a third consecutive UK Number 1 album with his fourth studio set Idols. He previously topped the Official Albums Chart with 2020's Weird! and 2022's eponymous effort Yungblud.
California sister act HAIM return with their fourth studio set, I quit. Two of their previous LPs – 2013's Days Are Gone and 2020's Women in Music Pt. III – made Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, so they'll definitely be hoping for a high debut.
Croydon's finest Loyle Carner is also back with his fourth album, Hopefully!, which is his follow-up to 2022's Top 3 hit Hugo. Meanwhile, Manchester rapper Aitch shares his second studio album 4 – can it beat the Number 2 peak of his 2022 debut Close to Home?
Elsewhere, Sheffield metal band Malevolence share their fourth studio album Where Only the Truth Is Spoken, prolific singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan drops her eight studio set Other Sides of the Moon, Northern Ireland's JC Stewart releases his debut disc Space Hurts, and roots rocker James McMurtry shares his eleventh LP The Black Dog and the Wandering Boy.
There's also a 10th anniversary edition of PRODUCT, the debut compilation by late hyperpop pioneer SOPHIE.
On the singles front, JADE drops Plastic Box, the sixth taster track from her upcoming debut album THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY!
British rapper Central Cee and American rapper Sexyy Red join forces for Guilt Trippin’ – they'll be aiming for their eleventh and second UK Top 10 respectively.
Another stellar collaboration sees Sam Fender and Olivia Dean team up for Rein Me In.
Lorde continues to trail her upcoming album Virgin with its third single Hammer. Previous teasers What Was That and Man of the Year have peaked so far at Number 11 and Number 62 respectively.
Hot off her viral hit (and first Official Singles Chart entry) Take a Sexy Picture of Me, CMAT drops The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station, another banger from her upcoming Euro-Country album.
Swedish DJ-producer Alesso shares an official remix of Ascension, the lead track from the original music suite he created for the Esports World Cup 2025.
Cardi B returns with Outside, her second single of 2025, while Lola Young shares Not Like That Anymore, the second single from her upcoming album I'm Only F**king Myself.
There are also new bangers from global girl-group KATSEYE (Gabriela), Australian rapper The Kid LAROI (How Does It Feel) and arena-filling siblings Jonas Brothers (No Time to Talk).
And finally, Ed Sheeran drops a new bop, Drive, recorded for the soundtrack to upcoming blockbuster F1® The Movie.
