New documentary The Art Of Drumming celebrates the un-sung heroes of rock
Mini series The Art Of Drumming airs on Sky Arts in September.
A new documentary celebrating the "un-sung heroes of rock" - drummers - will air of TV next month.
The four-part series, called The Art Of Drumming, starts on Sky Arts on September 14 and shows the likes of The Libertines' Gary Powell and Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith talking about their craft.
The mini series, narrated by former Style Council's Steve White, features around 30 drummers across a range of ages and genres. They each discuss techniques and reveal secrets from some of the biggest pop songs from a drummer’s perspective.
The show follows similar musically-themed TV series and films including 2014's US drama Whiplash and 2013's Twenty Feet From Stardom about backing singers.
