Myles Smith named BRITs Rising Star 2025
The Luton-born star scored his first Top 10 single earlier this year.
Myles Smith has been announced as the winner of the BRITs Rising Star 2025.
Just announced, the Luton native beat out competition from indie-rock duo Good Neighbours and soul singer Elmiene for the award, which tips a British music act for success in the next year and beyond.
Previous winners of the award (previously known as the BRITs Critics Choice) include chart-topping stars such as Adele, Ellie Goulding and last year's winner, The Last Dinner Party, who saw their debut album Prelude To Ecstasy earn the biggest first week debut for a British band in nine years earlier this year, debuting atop the Official Albums Chart.
Speaking on his win, Myles Smith said: "Winning the BRIT award for Rising Star is such a surreal moment. Music has always been about connecting with people, and to see it resonate on this level is incredible.
"I’m so grateful to my team, my family, and especially the fans who’ve supported me every step of the way. Your belief in me means everything. This is just the beginning, and I’m so excited for what’s to come—thank you for being part of this journey.”
Myles has yet to release his debut album, but made big moves this year, scoring his first UK Top 10 single with the yearning mid-tempo banger Stargazing (which reached a peak of Number 4), while follow-up single Nice To Meet You became his first to debut inside the Top 20 in November, debuting at Number 12.
