Mumford & Sons to headline Barclaycard British Summer Time concert in London's Hyde Park
More acts have been confirmed for the summer gigs in London's Hyde Park.
Mumford & Sons are the latest act confirmed to headline one of Barclaycard's British Summer Time concerts next year.
The folk-rock band top the bill on Friday, July 8 2016, accompanied by special guests US rockers Alabama Shakes and North London band Wolf Alice.
Mumford & Sons said: "Hyde Park for us: sacrificing hopes and dreams at the altar of Neil Young; being transported to another dimension by The National; supporting Arcade Fire (the best band in the world); playing alongside our mates The Vaccines; accidentally seeing Black Eyed Peas; wishing we were at Kylie."
"What a place. And this time we get to headline and pick a bill of sick artists to play with us. Alabama Shakes! Wolf Alice! Gentlewomen of the Road! We’re travelling all over at the moment, so having this massive gig to look forward to next Summer, right in the heart of our home city, is just awesome."
They join Take That, who were recently announced as the headline act on the July 9 show. More acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Now in its fourth year, the British Summer Time concert series has previously seen headliners including Taylor Swift, Blur, The Who, Kylie Minogue, Chic and The Rolling Stones.
Tickets, priced between £59.50 and £199.50, go on general sale 9am Friday, November 27. Barclaycard presale tickets are available from November 23, while AEG's presale starts on November 25. Click here for more information.
