Mr Probz shoots to the top of the Official Streaming Chart
Waves has stormed to the Number 1 spot on the Official Streaming Chart, becoming the most listened to track of the past week.
It’s been back and forth between Clean Bandit’s Rather Be and John Legend’s All Of Me for the last four weeks but Dutch hip hop star, Mr Probz, has finally ended the stalemate, claiming the Official Streaming Chart Number 1 spot with his UK debut single, Waves.
Jumping a massive 14 places on the chart from last week, Waves has pushed American singer John Legend’s All Of Me to the Number 2 spot.
The news was revealed by Danielle Couchman on MTV’s new Official Streaming Chart show, which is broadcast on the network’s MTV Music channel between 5 and 7pm every Monday.
Kiesza’s Hideaway is a non-mover this week, holding its position at Number 3, while Clean Bandit’s Rather Be FT Jess Glynne, seems to have ended its record-breaking reign, placing at Number 3 - its lowest position in 14 weeks!
Rounding out the Top 5 on this week’s chart are London based dance duo, Sigma, with Nobody To Love.
New Entries
There are seven new entries on the Official Streaming Chart this week. Calvin Harris’ Summer, which currently tops the sales-based Official Singles Chart, is the highest new entry, in at Number 16.
American electronic dance trio Cash Cash’s Take Me Home FT Bebe Rexha enters the chart at Number 45, while British girl group Neon Jungle’s Welcome To The Jungle is in at 75.
Just behind are DJ Cassidy with his track, Calling All Hearts FT Robin Thicke & Jessie J, and Justin Timberlake with Not A Bad Thing, in at 76 and 77, respectively. Nottingham-based singer, Indiana, debuts on the chart at Number 88 with her single, Solo Dancing.
Rounding out the Top 100, and the final new entry on this week’s Official Streaming Chart, is London grime artist Meridian Dan, with German Whip FT Big H & JME (100).
There are two re-entries on the chart this week; Oasis’ Wonderwall (94) and Pharrell Williams’ Marilyn Monroe (99).
Alongside, Mr Probz’s Waves (1), there are four other high climbers on this week’s Official Streaming Chart. French producer/DJ, David Guetta’s Bad FT Showtek & Vassy is the week’s highest climber, jumping a massive 23 places from Number 64 to 41.
DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s Turn Down For What climbs 17 places (37), while London-based producer and DJ Shift K3y is up 15 places with Touch (24). Finally, Swedish singer, Tove Lo’s, Stay jumps 11 places to Number 15.
