Mr Probz is on course for a massive-selling splash hit in the UK this weekend with Waves.

Dutch hip-hop star Mr Probz is set to make a splash on this week’s Official Singles Chart with his debut release, Waves.

Following in the footsteps of fellow Dutch stars Bingo Players, Martin Garrix and Nicky Romero who have all bagged Number 1s on these shores in the past year, newcomer Mr Probz is on course to debut at the top on Sunday with Waves.  The single, which has already crashed the Top 10 in Belgium, France and The Netherlands, has been remixed by German DJ and producer Robin Schulz.

According to the Official Charts Company’s latest sales data, Waves has so far sold nearly 70,000 copies at this midway stage, and, should its momentum continue, the track could break 100,000 copies by the weekend.

Current chart topper, Hideaway by Kiesza, slides one place to Number 2 today, while Nobody To Love by Sigma is also down one to Number 3.

US producer and DJ, DJ Cassidy, is new in at Number 4 with Calling All Hearts FT Robin Thicke and Jessie J, while his fellow countrymen Cash Cash are set to enter one place behind him with Take Me Home FT Bebe Rexha (5).

New Entries

In addition to Mr ProbzWaves (Number 1), DJ Cassidy’s Calling All Hearts FT Robin Thicke and Jessie J (4) and Cash Cash’s Take Me Home FT Bebe Rexha (5), there are four other new entries on today’s Official Singles Chart Update.

Hotly-tipped girl group Neon Jungle are set to score their second Top 10 single in as many months this weekend with Welcome To The Jungle. The follow-up to February’s Braveheart is at Number 7 today.

Meanwhile, Nottingham vocalist Indiana is on track to make her chart debut this weekend with Solo Dancing (9), while newbie singer / songwriter Joel Compass is on course to land his first UK Top 40 hit on Sunday, too, with Forgive Me (26).

And finally, The Kooks are new in at Number 33 today with the first single to be culled from their as-yet-untitled new studio album, Down.

The Official Singles Chart Update Top 40 is as follows. The Official Singles Chart Top 100 will be posted in full, here, on Sunday at 7pm.
