Following in the footsteps of his fellow countrymen Bingo Players, Martin Garrix and Nicky Romero – who have all scored chart toppers on our shores over the last year – Dutch hip-hop star turned singer, Mr Probz, has gone straight in at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart today with his debut UK release, Waves.
The single, which has sold nearly 127,000 copies in the UK over the last seven days, has also made a Top 10 splash in Belgium, France and The Netherlands after being remixed by German DJ and producer Robin Schulz.
“Wow! Number 1 in the UK! It happened so fast,” Mr Probz tells OfficialCharts.com. “I can’t go on Twitter and thank everyone personally, so right now I wanna say thanks to everybody that’s supported the single, everybody who bought it, and made sure it keeps creating waves.”
