The Official Top 40 most-streamed songs by female acts in the UK ever

March 8 marks International Women's Day 2024 and, to celebrate, we're taking a look at the Official most-streamed songs by female artists in the UK ever.

In our newly-updated list, we can exclusively reveal Tones & I to have the most-streamed song by a female act in the UK with 2019 chart-topper Dance Monkey.

Dance Monkey also holds the record as the longest-running Number 1 single by a female artist in the UK, reigning for 11 consecutive weeks on its release.

In second place is Mariah Carey staple All I Want for Christmas is You; the first of three female-fronted festive songs in the Top 40 list. The track has spent three non-consecutive weeks at Number 1 since its release in December 1994.

The other female-led festive faves bagging a spot inside the Top 40 list are Brenda Lee's Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, at Number 24, and Ariana Grande's Santa Tell Me, making Number 40.

Lady Gaga's team-up with Bradley Cooper, Shallow, places at Number 3 on the list this International Women's Day. The song, lifted from the pair's 2018 remake of A Star is Born, topped the Official Singles Chart for two consecutive weeks in 2018.

In at Number 4 is Dua Lipa's 2018 Calvin Harris collaboration One Kiss; the first of five Dua tracks in the wider Top 40; the star also appearing with New Rules (6), Don't Start Now (11), Levitating (15) and Elton John team-up Cold Heart (22).

Billie Eilish's bad guy, which peaked at Number 2 in April 2019, places fifth on the list of all-time most-streamed songs of any female act.

Elsewhere in the Top 10 we see Ava Max's Sweet But Psycho (7), Halsey's Eastside with Benny Blanco and Khalid (8), Keala Settle's The Greatest Showman track This Is Me (9) and Sia's Cheap Thrills (10).
