MNEK launches LGBTQ+ music writing camp to celebrate Pride in London
MNEK is to host an all LGBTQ+ writing camp during the upcoming Pride in London celebrations on July 4 and 5.
The singer, songwriter and producer has curated and will host the event at Warner Chappell Studio in West London, giving LGBTQ+ artists, writers and producers an opportunity to help one another and create new music with established artists and writers.
MNEK is the mastermind behind lots of hits for other artists - including Beyonce, Little Mix, Dua Lipa and Jax Jones - and has landed a string of successful songs for himself on the Official Chart since 2014.
Years & Years' Olly Alexander, L Devine, Ryan Ashley, Rina Sawayama and Kloe will be involved across the weekend, working alongside producers Jon Shave, Leo Kalyan and Sakima.

MNEK said: "I’ve set up this camp to have a couple days specifically for Pride but to also invite some LGBT talent that I really rate to collaborate with each other.
"The community is so creative and full of really gifted writers and producers so I’m really excited that we are getting to come together, be there for each other and make music for this camp!"
MNEK has teamed up with Pride in Music - a cross-industry network for the LGBTQ+ community working within British Music - for the event. Pride in Music is working to help to make positive changes in the music industry and to support change across all UK industries.
