Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One storms straight to Number 1 on Official Film Chart

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One debuts at Number 1 on this week’s Official Film Chart.
 
The latest instalment in the Mission: Impossible franchise sees secret espionage agency Impossible Missions Force (IMF) – led by protagonist Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) – attempt to track down a worrying weapon that could prove fatal should it fall into the wrong hands.

With the future of humanity hanging in the balance, can Ethan battle demons from his past as this global mission gets under way?

 
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is a brand-new entry at Number 2 this week. This time, protagonist Optimus Prime and the Autobots face their greatest challenge yet, as the fate of the entire planet is at risk from a forceful new threat.
 
Elsewhere, last week’s chart-topper Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 is down four to Number 5, while The Super Mario Bros Movie holds strong at Number 6 for another week.
 
Disney’s latest animated feature, Elemental, rounds out this week’s Top 10, a re-entry at Number 10. The film sees anthropomorphic elements representing fire, water, land and air living together to determine their commonalities.
