Mel B confirmed as the fourth and final X Factor judge!

After months of speculation, ex-Spice Girl Mel B has been confirmed as the fourth and final judge for the upcoming 11th series of The X Factor.

Mel B joins the previously confirmed X Factor judging panel line-up of Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole, returning to the show for the first time since 2010, alongside ever-present favourite, Louis Walsh.

Mel is no stranger to the spotlight of a talent show judging panel. As well as a stint as a guest judge on the show back in 2012, the singer has also appeared on America’s Got Talent, and The X Factor Australia and The Voice Kids Australia.

"I’ve always thought honesty is the best policy when being a judge and that’s what I’m going to bring more of this year" Mel explained, "whether it’s spotting an incredible singer, giving someone a reality check or debating with Simon over who’s got it wrong!"

The X Factor creator, and returning head judge, Simon Cowell added, "I am thrilled that Mel B has agreed to be a judge on The X Factor this year. I thought she was fantastic as a guest judge a couple of years ago. She is feisty, opinionated and, I believe, will be a great mentor."

Filming for the 11th series of the show will begin next week, with the audition tour visiting Manchester, London, Newcastle and Edinburgh.
