Maroon 5 ring up another week at Number 1 with Payphone

After losing their Number 1 spot to Will.I.Am's This Is Love last Sunday, Maroon 5's Payphone has returned to the top of the Official Singles Chart. 



In Wednesday's Official Chart Update, the US rockers were locked in an incredibly close three-way battle with Will.I.Am and Chris Brown's Don't Wake Me Up, but today they emerge victorious with a concluding lead of 3,000 copies to deny Chris Brown the Official Charts double of a Number 1 single and Number 1 album.



Don't Wake Me Up climbs one place to Number 2 as This Is Love slips two places to Number 3. Flo Rida, who is currently Number 1 on the Official Streaming Chart, holds firm at Number 4 with Whistle, while London girl group Stooshe, who have been rocking T In The Park this weekend, complete this week's Official Singles Chart Top 5 with Black Heart, climbing three places to Number 5.



New Entries And High Climbers



There are only two new entries in this week's Official Singles Chart Top 40. The first comes courtesy of Brit pop heroes Blur. Under The Westway, which is one of two new songs Damon Albarn and co debuted on Twitter on Monday evening (July 2), is new in at Number 34. 



One place behind at 35 is N-Dubz star Dappy's new track, I'm Coming (Tarzan Part 2). The follow-up to his Number 2 hit, Rockstar, was released on Tuesday to coincide with the accompanying video being posted on SB.TV's YouTube channel.



This week's highest climber is Nicki Minaj's Pound The Alarm, up 18 places to Number 16. Jessie J's Domino climbs seven places to re-enter the Official Singles Chart Top 40 at Number 38, Lady Antebellum's Need You Now climbs six places to Number 22.
