Maroon 5 are on course to top the Official Singles Chart this Sunday, according to today's Official Chart Update.

Summer anthem 'Moves Like Jagger' by the US rockers and Christina Aguilera is looking set to clinch the coveted top spot this weekend after spending an impressive seven consecutive weeks in the Top 3. Taken from the band's re-released third studio album, 'Hands All Over', 'Moves Like Jagger' has delivered a solid performance since its UK release in August, holding onto the Number 2 spot for five weeks running, and is now on course to knock Sak Noel's 'Loca People' into second place.

The Goo Goo Dolls' 'Iris', maintains its position at Number 3 following its phenomenal X Factor-attributed rise last weekend. The 1998 release leapt a massive 127 places last week after being performed by contestants from the reality TV show. The Official Singles Update Top Five is completed by One Direction's 'What Makes You Beautiful' (4), and N-Dubz' Dappy's solo single 'No Regrets (5)'. LMFAO are the highest climbers in this week's Top 20; the electro-rappers have jumped thirteen places to Number 7 with 'Sexy And I Know It'.

In an incredibly tight race in the Official Albums Chart, pop-punkers You Me At Six are in the running to bag their first Number 1 album this weekend with 'Sinners Never Sleep'. Fresh from scooping the Best British Band gong at the Kerrang! Awards earlier this year, the Surrey five-piece are enjoying this week's highest new entry with the follow-up to 2010's 'Hold Me Down'. You Me At Six's third studio album enters today's Official Albums Update a mere 1,700 copies ahead of last week's chart topper, James Morrison's 'The Awakening'.

Other new entries this week include Grammy Award-winning country trio Lady Antebellum at Number 4 with their third album 'Own The Night', while Ed Sheeran slips two places from Number 3 to Number 5 with '+'.
