Madagascar 3 goes straight in at Number 1
The third installment of the Madagascar series, Madagascar 3 - Europe's Most Wanted, has gone straight in at Number 1 on the Official Video Chart.

The third installment of DreamWorks’ hit animated series has knocked last week’s chart topper, Taken 2 (starring Liam Neeson) off the top spot on the Official Video Chart and the Official DVD Chart, while Taken 2 maintains it’s the Number 1 position on the Official Blu-ray Chart.
Scott Derrickson’s supernatural horror, Sinister, is new in at Number 3 on the Official Video Chart, while Looper (starring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is down one place to Number 4. Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania (Number 5) completes this week’s Top 5.
New Entries
In addition to Madagascar 3 - Europe's Most Wanted (Number 1) and Sinister (3), there are four other new entries on the Official Video Chart.
Coming-of-age film The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, which is based on Stephen Chbosky’s novel of the same name and starring Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller, is new in at Number 6 on this week’s chart.
The twin pack of Sinister and James Wan’s Insidious enters at Number 9, while Universal Soldier - Day Of Reckoning (starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren) is at Number 12.
This week’s new entries are completed by Oliver Stone’s crime thriller Savages (Number 26) and The Three Stooges (27).
The 25th anniversary Les Miserables concert continues its run at Number 1 on the Official Music Video Chart, while Mrs Brown’s Boys Series 2 is still Number 1 on the Official TV On Video Chart.
