American indie-rock band Local Natives have been announced as the next guests on The Record Club.

Hailing from Orange County, California, the five-piece - consisting of Taylor Rice, Kelcey Ayer, Ryan Hahn, Matthew Frazier and Nik Ewing have just released their fifth album, Time Will Wait For No One, via Lorna Vista and Concord.

Made as the band were apparently "on the verge of collapse" following an enforced separation during the pandemic, they have described their latest LP as an album of "metamorphosis."

"Time flows on uncontrollably and change is relentless, and the people you love are the only constants," they said in a statement. "Out of that reckoning we dissolved everything down to start again, and had the most prolific period of songwriting in our history."

Join us this tomorrow (July 26) where Local Natives will be chatting to BBC Radio 1's Jess Iszatt. Fans are encouraged to submit their own questions live on-stream in the chat boxes as we'll be putting the best ones to them live - with one lucky fan whose question is asked winning a pair of snazzy Bowers & Wilkins headphones.
