Little Mix fly to Number 1 with Wings
Little Mix make a return to the top spot on the Official Singles Chart today, as new single Wings racks up 107,000 sales, toppling last week’s chart topper Sam & The Womp’s Bom Bom (2) to help them to their second Number 1 since winning X Factor 2011.
Little Mix make a return to the top spot on the Official Singles Chart today, as new single Wings racks up 107,000 sales, toppling last week’s chart topper Sam & The Womp’s Bom Bom (2) to help them to their second Number 1 since winning X Factor 2011.
“Wooh! Number 1! We want to thank all the Little Mixers who went out and bought the single. You’ve made all our dreams come true” said Little Mix. “It means a lot because obviously we got a Number 1 at Christmas with Cannonball, but that wasn’t OUR song really, so now that we’ve become Number 1 with our own song that we wrote, we’re so proud, best feeling ever. Continue to listen to it and dance away in your bedrooms in your pants!”
The girls revealed to OfficialCharts.com that they will be hitting the road in the New Year for their first headline Little Mix UK tour, “We’ve got our tour which we can confirm is starting next year at the end of January! Be there or be square, man!”
Little Mix also hint that they may potentially be making a return to the X Factor screens this series as guest performers, Jesy says: “Can I just say how exciting it will be when we go back on X Factor and it [the X Factor voiceover] goes “Duh duh duh, TWO Number 1s!’
