LF SYSTEM set for second week at Number 1 with Afraid To Feel as George Ezra, Burna Boy and Ella Henderson and Metallica could all climb
Scottish DJ duo LF SYSTEM look set to score a second week atop the Official Singles Chart with Afraid To Feel. The Silk-sampling song became the first dance track of 2022 to reach Number 1 last week, leaving members Conor Larkman and Sean Finnegan “over the moon.”
The UK’s heatwave also sees some of this summer’s biggest dance cuts experience a surge midweek. David Guetta, Becky Hill and Ella Henderson’s slow burner Crazy What Love Can Do could reach a new peak this Friday (7), as could Ella’s Nathan Dawe collaboration 21 Reasons (8).

It’s been burning up the Official Afrobeats Chart with for weeks, and now Burna Boy’s Last Last looks set to lift to the Top 10 for the first time, claiming a new peak (10). The Toni Braxton-sampling song could become Burna’s first Top 10 since Stormzy and Ed Sheeran collab Own It in 2019.
And finally, the ascent of Metallica’s 1986 track Master Of Puppets continues as the song eyes a Top 40 position this week (23). Thanks to its inclusion on Netflix show Stranger Things, introducing the 37-year-old song to a whole new generation, could this latest success story ‘do a Kate Bush’ and prove a future chart-topper?

So happy to see so many of my fav singers climbing (maybe?) the single chart this week!! LIZZO, BECKY HILL, ELLA, JAX JONES, GEORGE EZRA and SIGALA...Hope the mid week update will remain as it is by Friday!!
Joshua Sombra
Really hope 'Green Green Grass' will be No.1 instead of 'Afraid To Feel'. It is more better than 'Afraid To Feel'.

Really hoping Crazy What Love Can Do makes the top 10, considering as the chart is on my birthday this year I’d be really happy if it did

glad burna boy is headed for the top 10, I haven't listened to the album in full yet but i've heard last last and the collabs with ed sheeran, khalid and j balvin, all bops! hope some of the other album tracks can make the top 40 and hope the album does well
C
Conor
hope 2step has just fallen out of the top 20 and isn't on acr, such a bop and feels far too soon if it is on acr
C
Conor
i hope as it was, peru and where did you go go on acr soon, they've been clogging up the top 20 for ages and are all past due for acr
C
Conor
yay for stay the night
David Eve
So Go is definitely on ACR, only time will tell whether Peru is also. Has Metallica been granted a reset to SCR or it just climbing further? Here's hoping for top 20!
I expect Kate is still really the biggest 'seller'.

Conor
i'm assuming that yes, metallica is on scr because last week had they not been on acr they would be roughly between #21-#25 so it seems about right

Cool to see LF System hanging in there!
I love how the weather turned incredible all of a sudden as soon as they got to #1, haha. :)

I'm genuinely amazed at the resurgence of 'Seventeen Going Under'!
I only thought it was going to be back in the Top 40 after Glastonbury, but if we're giving it a second chart life, then I'm honestly all for it. :)
Piran
That's a nice climb for 'Stay The Night'! 😊
Maybe Top 10 before the end of the month? :)
