Lauren Spencer Smith announced as next guest on The Record Club
We're welcoming Lauren Spencer Smith as the latest guest of The Record Club later this week.
The Canadian singer-songwriter released her debut album, Mirror, earlier this year, and it managed to peak just outside the Official Albums Chart Top 10, at Number 11.
Mirror's release came after Lauren found herself at the centre of a viral storm last year thanks to debut single Fingers Crossed blowing up across social media, becoming a massive trending topic on TikTok.
The track's success was enough to clinch Lauren a record deal with Republic (the label who count Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and more under its roster) and Fingers Crossed itself managed to peak at Number 4 on the Official Singles Chart.

Lauren has also collaborated numerous times with recent Official Albums Chart Number 1 artist Cian Ducrot, who helped co-write and produce the Top 20 single Flowers and has also worked on another song, Hey, that's present on Mirror's tracklist.
Designed as a book club for albums, The Record Club in association with Bowers & Wilkins is a bi-monthly livestream, hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Jess Iszatt, on Facebook Live, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube Live every other Wednesday.
Fans are encouraged to order the selected album from their favourite local record shop either in-store or on home delivery, listen to it in full, then tune into the broadcast armed with their questions for the artist and a chance to win a prize.
Join the conversation by joining the Official Charts community and dropping comment.
