Lana Del Rey claims highest new entry on the Official Irish Albums Chart with Norman F**king Rockwell as Taylor Swift holds at Number 1

Tool and Lil Tecca debut in the Top 10 while Gerry Cinnamon makes his first appearance in the top flight after Electric Picnic.

Lana Del Rey has claimed the highest new entry on this week’s Official Irish Albums Chart.

The singer’s fifth studio album Norman F**king Rockwell opens at Number 2, behind Taylor Swift’s Lover which holds at Number 1.

NFR is Lana’s fifth Top 3 album in Ireland; her debut Born To Die and third set Honeymoon topped the charts, with her second LP Ultraviolence and fourth record Lust For Life also peaking at Number 2.

American rock group Tool land at Number 4 with Fear Inoculum, their first album in 13 years, while New York rapper Lil Tecca impacts at Number 9 with his debut mixtape We Love You Tecca. Just behind him at Number 10 is Gerry Cinnamon with Erratic Cinematic; the Scottish singer/songwriter lifts 10 places to reach the Top 10 for the first time following his set at Electric Picnic last weekend.

After the release of Netflix documentary, Travis Scott’s latest album Astroworld returns to the Top 50 at 21, while Oasis are also back in the Top 50 at 22 with their debut album Definitely Maybe after it was reissued for its 25th anniversary. Bon Iver also rise back into the chart at 34 to after their latest album i,i was released on CD and vinyl.

Irish rock group Republic of Loose take out a fifth Top 50 appearance with their new retrospective Mutant Soul: The Best Of (47), and finally, Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart, Tones & I closes out the albums rundown with her debut EP The Kids Are Coming (50).
