After scoring last year's Christmas chart-topper, the YouTube dad blogger and his family are back with another bid for the top spot.

LadBaby has announced his bid for this year's Official Christmas Number 1.

The YouTube star and dad blogger, real name Mark Hoyle – plus his wife Roxanne and two sons, unexpectedly scored last year's Christmas Number 1 with their own version of Starship’s We Built This City as an ode to sausage rolls (rather than rock and roll).

The family are back with another bid for the festive top spot, this time with a playful twist on Joan Jett's I Love Rock 'n' Roll. Their version is titled I Love Sausage Rolls (of course). The song is available to preoder and presave now.

As with their last release, proceeds from the single go to foodbank charity The Trussell Trust, which has more than 1200 food bank centres across the UK.

"We were blown away by the support we received on our Christmas Number 1 single last year and how far that money has gone into changing the lives of families living in poverty across the UK," LadBaby said.

"We’re continually looking for ways we can support food bank charity the Trussell Trust further as the size of the problem still facing so many adults (and children) is huge and we ALL need to do whatever we can to say goodbye to poverty once and for all in the UK!

"If we can use our social media presence for good by singing about sausage rolls, giving people something to smile about and helping families eat this year, then why wouldn’t we. Officially, the most unanticipated single of the decade...AGAIN!".

As well as landing last year's Christmas Number 1, LadBaby was named Celebrity Dad of the Year, winning over Prince Williams, Simon Cowell and Rio Ferdinand. This year saw his wife Roxanne crowned Celebrity Mum of the Year.

Oh, for crying out loud. No, just no. I didn't like his cover rendition of "We Built This City" and felt Ava Max should've had the Christmas number one instead of topping it a week later.

Well in real time sales on christmas day Ava Max was actually #1 for UK last year at Christmas with sweet but psycho (as heard from 27th December last year) data from 21st to 26th December , as the sales of ladbaby when it topped #1 was nearly a week before christmas day. (14-20th December) as radio charts and top of the pops broadcast is misleading and out!
