La Roux announce second album and UK tour dates

The British singer has also unveiled the audio for her new single, Let Me Down Gently.

Remember La Roux? The singer, whose real name is Elly Jackson, is best known for her 2009 Official Singles Chart Number 1, Bulletproof (Read: Bulletttttproooof), but she has actually scored three Top 40 singles. And now, she's back with her first release in five years!

Let Me Down Gently, which is currently available for UK download, was debuted on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show last night and is the first single to be taken from upcoming second album, Trouble In Paradise.

Trouble In Paradise, set for UK release on July 7, will be La Roux’s second studio album following her 2009 self-titled debut, which peaked at Number 2 on the Official Albums Chart.
