Katy Perry claims the highest new entry on the Official Irish Singles Chart with Never Really Over

Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber score a fourth week at Number 1.

Katy Perry’s new single is the highest new entry on this week’s Official Irish Singles Chart.

Never Really Over debuts at Number 14 this week, becoming Katy’s 26th Top 50 hit in total, and her first Top 20 hit since Chained to the Rhythm reached Number 6 in February 2017.

At the top of the chart, Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber make it four weeks at Number 1 with I Don’t Care.

Elsewhere in the Top 20, Martin Garrix’s Summer Days featuring Macklemore & Patrick Stump chalks up a new peak of Number 12, while Kygo & Rita Ora crack the Top 15 with Carry On, the lead single from the Pokémon: Detective Pikachu movie soundtrack. There’s also a new personal best for Lizzo’s Truth Hurts; lifting three places to Number 20 marking Lizzo’s first Top 20 placement ever in Europe.

Miley Cyrus makes her 15th Irish Top 50 appearance with Mother’s Daughter at 22, two positions ahead of Find U Again, Mark Ronson’s collaboration with Camila Cabello at 24. The Chainsmokers are also new this week, taking out their 14th hit on Irish soil with the Bebe Rexha-assisted Call You Mine at 33.

Skepta leaves a mark with What Do You Mean featuring J Hus at Number 37, while Cardi B lands at Number 38 with Press. Tiesto, Jonas Blue & Rita Ora complete a trio of successive new entries with Ritual at Number 39. Finally, Sigala & Becky Hill’s Wish You Well makes it into the Top 50 in its second week of release at Number 44.
