Kanye West says his new album Jesus Is King is coming this week
The rapper announces a new release date for his album - but will it actually come out this time?
Kanye West has set a new release date for his Jesus Is King album.
The rapper tweeted that he will release the record on Friday, October 25 - a date that coincides with the unveiling of a documentary film that follows the recording of the album. The film will be released in select IMAX cinemas across the US, while UK screenings have yet to be announced.
Jesus Is King was originally announced with a release date of September 27. That date was pushed back by two days but the album remained unreleased.
Since then, Kanye has held listening sessions for the album at his famous Sunday Services; the last took place in Kingston, Jamaica last weekend (Oct. 20).
Kanye has five Top 10 records in the UK. His last album, 2018's Ye, reached Number 2 on the Official UK Albums Chart, denied the top spot by The Greatest Showman. Look back at Kanye's Official UK Chart history in full.
While we wait for his new record, look back at the UK's Official Top 100 biggest hip-hop songs of all time, featuring multiple entries by Kanye.
